How do you deal with an emotionally unavailable man?

I have been reading about men like this and he fits the criteria. Just wants to pull me in and then push me away. Won't leave me alone. Gets to me through my friend. Won't talk about anything to do with us. Always telling me im jumping on him. Very seldom contacts me until i leave him alone. I just want him to stay out of my life so i can move on. This is a situation ive never had to deal with before. it doesnt bother me as much as it used to, but still bothers me some.
