Why is John David such an inutile quarterback?

I don't know about being from lousiana being the reason he, sorry to say, just isn't getting it done. He hasn't been the man for the job so far and I'm starting to think he'll have me worrying about fumbling, being intercepted and sacked, overping, underping, etc. throughout the whole season. He's been an absolutely mediocre quarterback who got the benefit of being overrated before going to SC. How he got to be the starting QB for a top 5 team is beyond me.
