Should the Egyptian army have gone into Eastern Libya to protect the people from Gaddafi?

The Egyptian army hasn't been involved in a real war in more than half a century. I wouldn't trust them being able to actually do anything. The Egyptian army also has more pressing worries at the moment - like running Egypt and preventing another civil war in their own country. I don't think they would be much help right now.
