World of Wacraft leveling problems?

So i'm a level 47 warlock and by the time i hit 70 i think wrath of the lynch king will be out so when i hit 70 should i just not do any raids and stuff and jsut keep leveling to 80 then start raiding. Also at 80 i won't have older tiers of raid gear what should i do with that. Thanks a ton.
